Huge tropical aroma from a mosaic hop addition on top of an already monster IIPA. Limited!

Draught @ Alibi. Light bronze, very floral, thin head, very fruity, bitter, orchard fruit hops, light chewiness in the malt. Good dipa. One of their better beers.

2016-01-29, draught at the brewery, 8-4-8-5-17=42
Cloudy. Still infinite fruitiness in the aroma. Having it after an Imperial Stout, it seems less sweet than I’d expect, while the hopping is opulent, resiny, a bit musky.
Still excellent, even after a few months since it has been brewed.

First pour of the new keg; hazy to cloudy, golden color, with compact head. Good body, moderately sweet, nice Pale malt flavor, strong orangey bitterness; very good as usual, but recently I was getting better impression from the bottles.

This year the 1-8-7 is fresh, sweet, fruity, spectacular!
2014-06-03, draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, 7-4-6-2-12=31
Light amber color, just hazy, with small sized compact head. Aroma of hop and apples, nice but not impressive; the apples are a sign of the yeast. Good body strength, with moderate sweetness; some fruity hop flavor, but also a tired feeling, unfresh.
Quite disappointing.

Golden color, more than hazy, with small head. I’ll cut it short: it’s quite sweet and oily; the aroma has an animal hop character; the flavor is a bit too cloying; the Mosaic has a good typical presence, nevertheless some elegance is missing. Rough.

Draught @ St. Augustine’s, Vancouver, BC
Pours clear dark orange with a smooth sticky head. Aroma of fruity hops, grass, citrus and caramely malts. Taste is smooth, wet hoppy and grassy with sweet maltiness and caramely notes. Finish starts out smooth and fruity but quickly turns into a massive palate wrecking bitterness and wet fruity hoppiness. Wow. Quite impressive, not your typical hop bomb. --- Beer merged from original tick of 187 On An Undercover Hop on 02 Jun 2014 at 21:38 - Score: 8

On tap at Parallel 49, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma screams out loads of piney hops, some hempy notes, and leafy earthy notes. Flavour is certainly a palate wrecker, with shitloads of hempy hops, some pine, and earthy notes. Punishingly hoppy, but in a tasteful way. Actually not a high astringency on the finish. Drinks easily despite being palate destroying. Awesome stuff.
