Tap at Keyaki Spring 2017. Huge yuzu nose. big cloudy, muddy blond color. Smooth, low carbonation, great yuzu, bitter finish. Nice fruit, but not as great as their fruit lagers.

The correct name of this Beer would be Hideji Beer Miyazaki no Minori Yuzu, I’m fairly sure it is a lager as well as it is part of a series supporting Miyazaki Agriculture which if memory serves are all lagers. Served in a weizen glass it looks similar with a milky honey gold and thick foamy head that laces the side of the glass. The aroma is spot on fresh spritzy yuzu with mild lime notes. Fairly light bodied with a dry finish. The taste is mostly yuzu and dry soda bread malt notes. It doesn’t come off as very beer like but it drinks easily and the dry finish makes for a refreshing summer drink.

Tap at C&R. Huge yuzu nose. Light bodied. Biscuity malt on the palate with pillowy foam and soft carbonation. Lots of yuzu on the palate and finish, but not overly done. Pulpy and juicy finish. Lovely.
