This is a Pilsner your stern grandfather would approve of. Brewed with traditional Pilsner malts, imported Czech Saaz and local Oregon Sterling hops, this Pilsner's first sip shows up with clean lager flavors, and then opens up with surprising complexity and softness-developing biscuity flavors, spicy herbal notes and a hint of lemon.

Sample at Hoof Hearted during the "KoffΓΌry Imperial Coffee Stout Release" on 05/01/2016 (as "Crux Pils"). The beer pours a clear golden color with a medium thick rocky white head that dissipates gradually. Stringy lacing. Aroma of fruit, grassy hops and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of mildly spicy hops, fruit and pale malts. The finish is mildly bitter with a short grassy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

On tap at Solera. Pours a clear yellow with medium frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is grass and corn. Medium mouth, similar flavors to nose, bitter finish, good.

On tap at Apex, pours a hazy pale copper yellow with a small white head. Aroma is subtle, with light grass. Flavour brings out lots of grass, with medium spiciness and a biscuity malt backbone. Very grassy and more spicy towards the end. Very good.

Draught at Apex, Portland
Blond color. Dry Pilsner, credibly mitteleuropean, with a mild grassy and lemony hopping; the malt profile is simple, but at least it’s a bit crispy.
Nice.

On tap at Bend pub. Pours out a light golden topped with a white head. Nose is a nice mix of grain and grassy hops. Taste is as the nose with a nice cereal malt and the light grassy hops.

On Tap at the Bend BP Slight haze small but fine and lasting white head and lacing. Classic pilsner. a bit sweet and maybe under bittered, but pleasant and tasty. No I take that back, the late IBU bite is nice. But plenty of light sweet maltinbess early.

Good pilsner, crisp, clean, sharp edges, but keeping it refreshing and drinkable.
