340ml bottle @ Tokyo. Pours golden with a small head. Aroma of cardboard, malts, hints of grass and citrus. Taste is cardboardy and citrusy with some soapy hops and malts. Finish is crisp, citrusy and soapy with hints of hops. Not very good.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. A light breast nose. A sweet lemon and honey flavor, toast. OK. Smooth.

Pours clear golden with some white foam. Herbal hop kick in the aroma, quite light otherwise, some malt sweetness underneath. Tastes actually pretty good, definitely fruitr than Kirin’s previous IPA iterations, some grapefruit there, a bit of seed bitterness. Drinks easy and is non offensive, hops are quite mild but still there, lingering dry-ish finish. Probably the best IPA from Kirin till now.

Bottle at the lodging in Kyoto - picked up at Don Quijote in Tokyo. Pours clear gold with a frothy, white head. Soft floral hops in the nose, some pine needles, crackery pale malts. Light-medium sweet out with further crackery character, spicy pine, flowers, orange peel. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Alright balance in the finish, with continuing spicy pine and flora hops, crisp pale malts, rindy citrus fruits, a little zesty lemon. Drinks easy enough. Not bad.

Bottle. Nose of pine, a bit of cabbage, seems a bit of DMS possibly. Definitely a bit vegetal. Brown with orange tints and a high head. Flavor is a bit too vegetal for me to like a lot. Somewhat flat and thin. Basically it isn’t horrible but it is a bit lame.
