Scorrevole, torrefatta, profumata.
Birra scura, a bassa fermentazione di ispirazione tedesca, un genere non molto diffuso in Italia ma che per noi ha un’irresistibile fascino. I malti tostati sono i grandi protagonisti, accompagnati da una luppolatura importante ma levigata. Incredibile la scorrevolezza in bocca di questa birra.
Nella nostra versione abbiamo dato un’attenzione particolare al luppolo e ai suoi profumi creando quella che possiamo definire una hoppy black lager.

Bottle, 330 ml at Oak Wine and Craft Beer, Napoli. Black with medium beige head. Nice roasty hops, quite bitter, chocolate, cocoa, some licorice. Medium bodied.

Tap at Luppolo Station (Rome-Italy). Coffee bean almost black pour, frothy and irregular beige head. Nose: grassy and green coffee, roast and a hint of cocoa. Mouth: certainly a rich black Lager, roast and loads of coffee. Medium bitterness a bit astringent aftertaste.

On tap @Luppolo Station (Rome). Pours deep brown with a medium beige head. Aroma of coffee, bitter chocolate, light licorice, grass. Flavour is balanced, coffee and grassy notes. Light body, medium carbonation, drinkable. A great Schwarzbier from one of the best italian brewery. Chapeau!

Draught @ Bere Bouna Birra, Milan. Pours dark brown with an offwhite head. Aroma of malt, light coffee, toasted bread, grassy hops. Flavor is malts, coffee, bready, grass. Medium body, lively carbonation, light dry finish. 121215
