Tap @ Devil Craft Hamamatsucho. Arch Devil 2017. Deep brown pour with some light brown bubbles on top. Nose is deep, roast-filled. Some blackberries. Taste has more roast bitterness, dark chocolate, sweet burnt sugar. Not too sweet, so drinkability is very high and goes down way too easy. Light bitter tingle in the finish.

Dark brown color. Lots of dark fruit, chovolate tobacco leaf and modest roastiness. It’s not as hoppy, acidic or full bodied as many US Imperial Stouts with low carbonation. Smooth and very approachable. Might not be what everyone wants but good stuff.

Tap at Hama. Shiny black with low, lacy, foam. Nose of chocolate, soy sauce, berries, coffee, wood. Very fruity flavor, lots of berries. Also chocolate, roasted wood and a very nice prickly, peppery finish. A bit too fruity-sweet for me, but very good.
