Tap at Hamamatsucho. Aroma is spicy and hoppy, but maybe a bit too citrusy for me. Taste is lightly roasty, biscuits, citrus. Not quite convinced, but still like it.

Tap at Hama. Pretty dark brown with orange, clear, with a medium, thick, head. Toasty darn malt nose, chocolate, a touch of caramel and coffee, citrus hops. Caramel / toffee sweetness, orange, a touch of cafe au lait and vanilla. Full and silky. There is a bit of stinky over-ripe fruit in there that is a bit off-putting.

Tap at DC Hama. Hazy brown with a small off-white head that dissipates fairly quickly. Light nutty aromas with lots of white grapefruit and pine notes. Feels heavy for the abv. Gets boozy as it warms. Feels unbalanced and kind of messy. I guess it wants to be a hoppy brown. Needs a little more work. --- Beer merged from original tick of The Devil In John's Brown on 07 Jan 2016 at 21:06 - Score: 7

A honey brown pour with a toffee malty aroma with citrus notes. Medium bodied, raspy carbonation and a very dry finish. The taste gives you toffee/coffee and citrus. Alright but my favorite was the C3PA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
