Reviewed from notes.
Bottle to snifter. Consumed 09/12/2017.
Appearance: dark amber/mahogany color with a finger's worth of eggshell white foamy head which dissipated at a nice pace and left just a little bit of lace
Aroma: sweet to floral rye notes up front with some caramel/toffee malts in there and becoming slightly bready with more warmth
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet malty and floral/rye sweetness; finishes malty and rye sweet toned
Texture: medium bodied; slightly sessionable; good smoothness with nothing distracting; good carb level
Overall: I was hoping for the rye part to show some "spice" to it but that never happened; other than that the rest of this beer was pretty good.

Bottle. Orange, berry, rye malt, alcohol, and grapefruit peel aroma. Dark brown with small head. Mildly sweet citrus, rye malt, and moderately bitter grass/grapefruit peel flavor. Good body - lightly boozy finish.

Bottle: Hazy brown with a thick beige head. Rye, hay, dusty aroma. Caramel malt, rye malt, woody, old tea taste. Very earthy....soft and smooth with a strong malt base and a nice leafy/earthy bitter.

Tea and dried leaves nose, fairly strong. Clear rust, medium yellow head, nice lace. Wood, walnut, sweet malt, dried leaves. Full body, easy carbonation. I have an obsessive preference for a sharper hop bite in this style, but this was still good. Rustic with a little sweetness for balance.

My snooter doesn’t work so well so aroma is on mild side, I’ll give benefit of the doubt.. Great rye flavor, more bitter than sweet. Great body and finish.

Keyaki fall 2016. Light caramel and peppery rye on the nose. Alcohol well-hidden with a light tropical feel on the palate, almost gummy bear-like. Peppery finish. Nice.
