Bottle from the brewery. A deep brown bordering on black with a thick light beige head of lacing that leaves copious amounts of foam behind. The aroma is a lovely soft cocoa with toffee, cola syrup and a certain sharpness to the nose. Medium bodied with a raspy carbonation. The taste is nutty, cocoa paste, caramel/toffee syrup and some roastedness in the finish. Kind of makes me want to pair it with nuts or ice cream, maybe I should pair my other bottle with pistachio or walnut ice cream...

Bottle from the brewery. RIch malty nose, lots of chocolate, sweet miso umami, rye bread. Cloudy black with a low, lacy head. Rich and thick and lovely tasting, with cocoa, chocolate, light raisins, umami, but miso and not soy sauce. Medium to full. This is very well put together, with a fullness from the yeast that really works.
