Bomber shared by Nate. A deep black with beige/red highlights and a roasty and slightly smokey aroma. Medium bodied, with a roasted malts and chocolate flavor. Quite nice.

Bottle. Nose of soy, cocoa, pine. Lightly roasted in a pleasant way. Solid, tasty, balanced stout with nice chocolate and rich malts.

On tap at Ex Novo, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma is rich, with coffee, dry roasted malt and cocoa powder. Flavour is full-bodied, with dark chocolate, coffee and roast. Low residual sweetness. Big and heavy without being too abrasive. Very good.

Draft - Dark roast and a touch of liquorice. Jet black with a brown head. Lots of dark roast, some dark fruit and toast. Decent.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a very dark brown with beige head. The aroma is dark chocolate, roast, vanilla. Slick mouth rich coffee, dark chocolate, lingering bitterness, very nice.

Keg at the taproom, 08/11/14. Dark chestnut brown with a moderate beige covering. Nose is roast malt, toffee, brown sugars. Taste comprises sweet licks, bitter roast, toffee, light spice, cocoa rub. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok stout.
