Tap at Craft Beer Kanazawa. Nice. Lots of creamy weirdness but nice soft malty and wheaty base. Refreshing, crisp but little sweetness. Nice.

Tap at Tadg’s. Cloudy gold with a low, fine head. Great Sorachi Ace nose, a bit grassy and leafy, lemon, herbs. Not overdone, but clearly comes across as Sorachi. Somewhat oily flavor, rich malt, touch of diacetyl (acceptable level), strange and interesting herbal bitterness from the SA. Perfect use of this finicky hop.

Poured from the tap. Light golden yellow with white head. Light creamy sora hi, mild buttery body.

Tap at CBM Koenji. Clear gold with a one-finger white head that lasts throughout. Lots of cream cheese and dill (benedictine!!) on the nose with some light lemon and grass. Clean on the palate with good carbonation. Some light cracker flavors as well. Nice dry and crisp finish. Solid. Sorachi Ace Lager 5% A clear gold with a lemon coconut nose. The taste is crisp light crackery malts, coconuts and minty green hops. Very pleasant and a nice start to the fest with its bitter bitting finish. A nice start to this fest.
