The cognac barrel version was better but still another Yorocco, so itβs GOOD! Black in a sea of white... studying for my final final. π©

Bottle. Thanks Davido! Great stuff, light spiciness, bit of smoke, booze is hidden, plummy, bit of choc. Light hoppiness. Very enjoyable.

Midtown tasting, as Black Saint 2018. Pours brown, gushes out from the bottle, some beige foam on the top. Light chocolate in the nose, cocoa sweetness, berries Spices and some light sourness. Tastes pretty tart, some bitter spices there, light roast but more like fruity toffee bitterness. Lingering. Tart and herbal dry in the finish.

Medium brown color. Big brownies, chocolate cake and dark fruit nose and slightly sour. Big dry fudge, lots of port, plums, cherries, slightly sour. Amazing depth. Big fudge finish.

Bottle from the brewery served in my stout glass. Yorocco Black Saint 7.5% An Imperial Porter. Itβs got a great fruity aroma of citrus & grapes/raisins, some mild chocolate and a certain savoury almost soy like quality. Fairly full bodied with a slightly sharp carbonation. The taste is great like freshly baked brownies with a hop bite, also citrus, chocolate and just a hint of roasting in the finish. This and the Kinkan Blond are probably my favorites from Yorocco so far.

Bottle. Nose of chocolate, some citrus and hay, minerals, some soy sauce, berries, and fruit like fresh plums. Rich, rich cocoa flavor, with soy, brownies, raisins, biscuits, and fresh fruit. Rich, velvety, and full. Great. Lovely black with a beautiful head.

Bottle shared. Thanks Davido. Slight Belgian yeast nose with big chocolatey cacao notes, plum, some cookie dough and light smoke. Taste is rich and creamy with a milk and cookie like image coming to mind. Dry finish with more cacao and light smoke. Fantastic beer from Yorocco. --- Beer merged from original tick of Black Saint on 05 Mar 2016 at 20:05 - Score: 8. Original review text: Yorocco wins again!
