The house IPA for Zeeks Pizza, this light, refreshing beer has a medium-light mouthfeel and a nose of passionfruit, grapefruit, guava, and tangerine. Zeeks was one of our first ever customers when we opened back in 2012. After years of support, and many months of R&D, Hop Tropic became reality.

Pint can. Golden orange pour with a large fluffy head. Sweet citrus filled hoppy aroma with light tropical fruit notes. Sweet and fruity up front into a modest grapefruit bitter end. Super easy drinking.

Can, 0.473l. Aroma of passion fruit, citrus, pineapple and faint caramel. Pours cloudy amber color with thin creamy off-white head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts ripe tropical fruity and citrusy, following is bready, resinous and herbal, mouthfeel is rather dry, while finish is pretty bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and lively carbonation in palate. Hoppy tropical hottie…

Sampled from the tap at the taproom. Pours a clear gold amber hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has earthy pine and dank grass with a bit of light resin underlying. Flavor has a nice pine note with slighy earthy grass, light resin and a bit of bread backing.

Bottle from Tavour. Pours brassy gold with a white head. Aroma is very tropical - I get passionfruit, grapefruit and guava. Med body. Flavor is grapefruit, passionfruit and guava. Fruity and reasonably dry. Bitingly, maybe zesty, bitter. Quite nice.

Draught at the brewery, 8/17/16.
Slightly more amber-copper to it than the Crikey, with the similar slight haze and staunch, white head.
Tropical indeed but with plentiful citrus and a much more sparse maltiness behind it. The relative lack of sweet malts actually makes this seem a little less juicy than the crikey, despite its attempt at being moreso. Still, it’s clean, with lots of greenery, spiciness and succulent pineapple and no alcohol.
Somewhat dry, with lots of grapefruit up front turning to spicy, tangy pineapple. Cracker and biscuit malts divulge only a bit of sweetness, while apricot and more grapefruit linger on the finish. Good, supportive/engaging carbonation and a strong dryness with fair bitterness. Liked the Crikey more (it felt more New Englandy to me....) but this is still quite drinkable.

On draft at Zeek’s Pizza in Belltown area of Seattle. Pours a slightly murky copper-orange, with middling head. Aroma was full of citrus and tropical fruit and very dank. Flavor was very fruity, with loads of tropical and citrus. Slightly sweet finish. Really enjoyable IPA.
