Bottle. Smells a bit like Rodenbach, Oud Bruin fruitiness. Taste is interesting, fruity with almost a bit of sweetness. Belgian type interestingness. Not at all sour. Nice. Can see the Orval thing Will was saying. Dry. Much better than number 1.

AJB #2 This reserve society beer pours a good-looking orange-amber with an inviting aroma of Banana bread and a lightly acidic sour/tart edge. Medium bodied with a sandy carbonation. The taste is earthy, nutty, light smoke, bitter dried berries. As it warms some of that banana bread begins to come through moderating that earthy bitter character. The aroma on this did evoke comparisons to some Belgian lambics (geuze) I've had while the taste is very different from the nose at first. I think it should be paired with rye bread & a nice earthy cheese. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 ml bottle. Nose of wine, caramel, some chocolate, wood, cherry, vanilla, apple. Nice, complex nose. Flavor and body are thin, do not live up to the nose. Somewhat sour, wood, chocolate, hazel nuts and apricot. Very thin and flat body. Shows potential, but not there yet.

Bottle shared at "Tokyo Ratebeer Dark Tickers of The World Unite or AJB tasting volume 1" event. Pours a clearish mahogany with a finger of white foam. Really nice bretty nose with horseblanket, musty basement, cobwebs orange, grass and light pepper. Brett really comes out as it warms. Average carbonation (finally!!!) with medium body. More oak and cobwebs on the palate with some light citrus as it warms. Good peppery hoppy finish. Holy shit, AJB just did an Orval clone and it’s pretty damn good. Glad to see some more carbonation so far. --- Beer merged from original tick of Barrel Reserve Series #2 on 13 Nov 2015 at 22:37 - Score: 6

Brownish. Bit hazy, not much carbonation. Aroma is bit sour, not much, bit of horse blanket. Taste has some bitterness, not relaly sour but not that many hops either. Some bitter edges and dry finish. Not bad but probably different from the idea as it was intended to be.

hazy mahogany color, lots of oak, cherries, smokey, and funky nose with horse blanket. Slightly sweet. Dry carbonation is better with second Version. But body is too sweet and heavy, decent but could be drier, more refined and sour.

Thanks TimE for sharing the bottle! Poured into a tulip taster showing caramelo brown and translucent rims with no foam. The nose shows strong notes of brett and hints of meat. The palate is moderately carbonated and full bodied. Lightly tart brett flavors, a slight tea like astringency on the mid palate, and slight tea-like bitterness at the end.
