Flesh Tones #1 is the first in a series of barrel aged saisons with fruit added. For now, this is a single barrel project where we select the perfect barrel from our (very limited) stock that could benefit the most from the fruit we have in mind. Stone fruit season was in full bloom when we decided to add nectarines and plums to this very special barrel. Enjoy!

Tap at the Brewpub. Nose of nectarine, plum. A bit juicy, with leather and some lactic notes. Red tints in cloudy gold beer with lace. Very balanced flavor: a bit of yogurt, but not much, mild sourness, quite a bit of residual sweetness.

On tap at the brewery. It pours a weird looking hazy salmon/gray color. Yeast haze? Small white head. The aroma has grapefruit, soft bready yeast and hints of acid. The flavor is creamy and lactic with some barrel, vanilla and funk. Very mild tartness and yeast presence. Grapefruit, grapes and a little soap in the finish. Ok. Not super impressed.
