Can from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours brassy gold with a foamy white head. Mild grass/spice aroma over light breadiness. Near med body. Flavor is spice then grass then spice. Bread in support. Crisp and clean apply. Tastes really good.

Poured from a 16 oz can. Aroma is malt forward with lots of grain, cracker, biscuit and toasted bread notes. Light herbal, spicy hop notes with hints of floral character. Pours a slightly hazy, brilliant gold color with a large, thick, frothy, white head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers a bit on the edges. Moderately high lacing and no legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with moderately strong grain notes of bread, cracker, and biscuit. Moderately strong bitterness with medium light hop notes of woody, herbal and spicy notes with faint floral character and a hint of fruit esters. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty enjoyable lager. Nice malt notes with assertive bitterness and hop notes. Hop notes and bitterness are not too strong though and malt is still center stage.

[1/29/16] Draught at Flavor Bistro in Santa Rosa. Golden. Grainy aroma with some DMS. Sweetish flavor, grainy, with DMS, and a bit of crisp bitterness. Rather light-bodied.

Tap at Flavor. Nice grain in the nose, citrus hops, clean. Tangy citrus flavor, rich malt, nicely hopped and well put-together lager.

Draft - Nice grains and honey notes. Clear gold with a small white head. Light grainy bitterness and a long finish. Flavourful and solid.

On tap at flavor pours out a golden topped with a white head. nose is sweet corn some grain and spice. Taste is more of the sweet corn and some spice.

On tap in Santa Rosa. Golden appearance with a big white head. Fizzy, grainy, herbal nose with some diacetyl. The flavor is also a bit buttery but not harshly so. Herbal, hay flavor. Wish it had been clean.

Keg at Flavor, Santa Rosa, 28/04/14. Very lightly hazed golden blonde with a good sized off white head that retains well. Nose is pale malt, light citrics, grass, cereal. Taste comprises pale malt, light bread notes, cereals, lemon rind, faint hops. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp close. Decent enough helles.

Burnt yellow. 2 finger creamy head. Almost no nose. Very strange cedar or walnut taste. Almost woody with pine needles and ginger root. Older fruits

Tap at The Trappist, Oakland. Colour is cloudy golden with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, citrus, grape, hops and malts.
