Bottle. Nice, aroma is milky chocolate and raspberry, plus some weird wheatiness, I guess the soba. I like it.

Dark brown color. Light brown head. Big roasted malt and buckwheat tea nose. Good dark chocolate, roasted malt, buckwheat tea in the mouth. Very unique, but good use of terroir. Smooth. Nice stuff

Tap at Mikkeller Tokyo for the AJB tap-takeover. Big roasty, cacao forward nose with brownies and roasted grain notes as it warms. Creamy on the palate with average carbonation. As it warms more chocolate and a nice dry, roasty finish. A great stout. --- Beer merged from original tick of Shinshu Soba Stout on 28 Apr 2016 at 20:54 - Score: 8. Original review text: Lots of chocolate, light toast. Smooth. Very very good.

Bottle with the master at Gremlin. A bit aged. Nose of coffee, buckwheat, wood, some chocolate. Almost black, nearly flat. Nice cocoa flavor, grainy buckwheat, coffee, creamy milk. Light, smooth, almost flat. Pretty tasty.
