Tap at the Watering Hole. Lots of roast, vanilla, bit sweet, good stuff. Bitterness is subtle, but kicks in. Light citrus hop burn at the end. Chocolate, prickly. Good stuff! More hops in the aroma. My favourite of all their 2nd anniversary beers and it was the one by Brimmer!

On tap at WIZ for a Brimmer Tap Takeover. 4.7% IBU 56. Deep brown with a foamy beige head. It’s got a big citrus hop bouquet with a malt (coffee) edge to it. Medium bodied & dry. It is ascerbic with citrusy hops, roast coffee and oat notes predominating. Nicely done but a touch too roasty for me.

Tap at Bungalow. Nose of pine, licorice, some citrus orange, chocolate. Shiny, black, with a low, fine, off-white head. Flavor is slightly woody, cocoa and coffee, licorice, pine, orange. Light, a bit too light. Bitter finish. Very hoppy and decent for a session.

On tap under the name Cazz & Yuya Session Black IPA in June 2014. Served in a shaker pint. Blackish brown with a thin beige head. Grapefruit, Iyokan aromas are big with a slight vegetable nose and a slight bit of caramel present too. Nice and dry on the palate with some toasted caramel but more of the citrusy hops coming out. Well-balanced with a slightly bitter finish.

Dark brown color. Light brown head. Nice citrusy nose with lots of roastiness underneath. The body is very light, good roasted character. Modestly bitter. Heavier than expected for a session beer, but lovely stuff overall.

Tap at Popeye, Tokyo. Dark brown color, steady off-white head. Aroma has light toast and citrusy hops. Light-bodied. Toasted, dry flavor with earthy woody hoppyness. Quite light black ipa. For sessions.
