Tap at Gremlin. Sweet, full bodied, aroma is full on boozy, bit of marker pen. Taste is sweet, sticky, wheaty. Candy.

Looking soft and grainy - yellow in the glass. I am actually really enjoying the nose - nice sweet but also soft and fruity, overripe pears and a bit of sweet melon. First sip is nice and has some hints of these characteristics also in flavour - but body breaks down fast and loses its allure. Nose was good, overall a bit meh.

Light golden color. Thin white head. Very smooth nose with light wheat, apricot and pear. Low carbonation. Very smooth. Lots of pear and apricots with wheat. Good but not too deep

On tap at Ant ’n’ Bee, Tokyo. Pours cloudy yellow with small white head. Wheat, fruit, grapes Quite sweet, but with a sourish twist. Medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Bit warming. Interesting.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a clear copper with a small white head that dissipates but leaves a ring throughout. Grainy nose with muscat, bread and light berry notes. Sweet on the palate with more muscat and some light berry and dried fruit notes. Medium body that feels light on the palate with slightly soft carbonation. Feels boozier as it warms but overall hides the abv pretty well. --- Beer merged from original tick of Wheat Wine on 05 Dec 2015 at 22:24 - Score: 7. Original review text: Sweet, but still drinkable.

2016 version: 3.7. Tap at Hathor. Glowing orange, cloudy, with a low, fine head. Wheaty nose, Muscat grapes, pineapple, creamy, fruity, grapefruit too. Sweet, creamy wheat flavor, nice fruit, a bit of heat, reasonable bitterness. Grains. Full body. Good, not quite great. 2019 version: rich fruit, grapes, pears, creamy wheat. Excellent stuff and much improved.
