Tap at Hop-Scotch. Brown with a nice light beige pillowy head that lingers throughout. Caramel, raisin, some plum and molasses. Taste is more of the same. A very standard brown. Light bittering hops on the finish with good caramel and molasses present. Tap. Malty nose, chocolate, caramel, some crackers, grassy hops. Earthy grassy hop flavor with the nutty, chocolate malt. Ok.

Popped into Craft Beer Base for my free drink ticket & to enjoy a half pint of Schooner Exact King Street Brown Ale. It pours a beautiful clear rich reddish brown. The nose is soft cocoa, candied raisins and nutty breadiness. A lively carbonation on a med-thin bodied clears the palate for flavors of nutty goodness with chewey chocolate raisin graham cookie notes. A satisfying brown which is saying something as the style tends to be overly sweet in my opinion.

Medium brown color. Very malty nose with some nice nuttiness and chocolately character. The mouth is very malty, slighly tart with a lingering nuttty finish. Nice stuff.

On tap at Schooner Exact, pours a clear dark amber brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out dry cocoa, milk chocolate, and toasted nuts. Flavour is smooth, with notes of milk chocolate and hazelnut. Toasty, nutty and chocolatey, with a dry palate. Very solid stuff - much more interesting than typical brown ales.

Draft - Nice dark toasted malts with caramel and nutty notes. Deep clear brown with a nice rich beige head. Cocoa, toffee and hazelnut with a touch of bitterness. Solid brown.

Draft pour at the church key pub. Pours a really dark brown with a nutty malty aroma. Smooth caramel malt flavor all throughout. A standard brown ale for me, I enjoyed it.

Warm brown colour in draught. Sweet and nutty with a bit of pecan? in the aroma. Again, would make a good session beer if served in small enough glasses. Good for washing down spices.

Sample at the brewpub. Pours dark brown with a medium khaki head that diminishes slowly to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. Light-bodied with flavors of chocolate malt, roasted nuts and a bit of hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bomber from LetsPour.com. Pours dark brown with a slight creamy beige head. Aroma of chocolate over some moderately roasted malt. Med body. Flavor is nutty and chocolaty with that standard "brown" malt flavor. It finishes dry and rather bitter.
