Locobeer India Black Ale 6% I ordered this online as I hadn’t had a beer from these guys in awhile. Deep cola black in color with a dense tan head that lingers. The hop bouquet is fresh pine with subtle hints of dark malts in the background. Medium bodied with roasty almost Smokey sweet dark chocolate notes slathered in piney hops. A pretty solid Black IPA.

Keyaki. Dark brown colour, small golden head. Aroma is interesting, bit minty, roasty of course, sweet and biscuity. Taste is again interesting. Can't put my finger on it, but something weird. The usual roast and bitterness, but something unique too. Maybe American burger mustard! That's why I like this!

Handpump at Gremlin. Very interesting beast here. Charcoal black color with no head. Very faint aromas of mint and arugula on the nose, with some very faint chocolate as it warms. Full on chrysanthemum notes on the palate, very green, with some light chocolate and coffee notes on the palate. Soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Almost silky, light bodied for 6 percent abv and easy drinking. A nice summer beer. Aha! Sorachi Ace is my guess! Not really like any other Black IPA I’ve ever had really. --- Beer merged from original tick of InBA (India Black Ale) (印旛) on 29 Jul 2016 at 20:17 - Score: 7. Original review text: Green, shungiku....chocolate mint. Light. Very interesting take on a black ipa.

very dark brown. Lots of roasted malts with a touch of citrus. Medium full body with lots of roasted malt, but lacks the hoppiness of an IBA. Overall pretty enjoyable

Tap at Keyaki, Spring 2015. Shiny black with lace. Nose of wood, licorice, chocolate. Rich and hoppy, earthy, oranges, licorice. Bitter finish. Nice.
