Tap at the North Island Bar. Nice. Soft and very easy drinking, light fruit, Aroma is citrusy, pineapple. Good stuff. Was getting smashed by this stage.

On tap at Watering Hole. Part of a tasting flight. Golden color with a nice foamy white head. Earthy hop aromas with some citrus as well. Bitter on the palate with more of citrus flavor coming out. Notes of iyokan, grapefruit and grass upon taste. Super bitter and dry finish. Solid session. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hop Tea Galaxy Ver. on 12 May 2015 at 19:14 - Score: 7

Tap at Komachi. Cloudy, glowing, deep golden orange color. Nice nose: grapefruit gelato, light spicy character. Hoppy flavor, grapefruit rind, light crackery malt. A touch of orange. Very bitter. A little too bitter and dry, without the malt meatiness to back it up.

Had two samples side by side at Yellow Ape: Y market mosaic version of their Purple Sky Pale Ale 5.6% had a great hoppy tropical fruit nose that was rich and inviting while North Island Hop Tea Galaxy version 4.5% had a woody pine and dank nose with light fruits. Both were beautiful gold pours with foamy white heads. The flavor for the Y Market mosaic was a hit of tropical fruits then a piney woodsy hop bite. While the North Island Galaxy was the opposite with a dank bitter woodsy hit that then switched to sweet. I think I preferred the Y Market’s sweet tropical fruitiness but I ordered the North Island due to its crisp light body, full flavor & lower ABV.
