33cl can pours a cola brown with ecru head. Nose is very burnt malt, roasty, a little smoke, some dark rye. Flavor has a lot happening, malt, bread, smoke, molasses, earth too. Finishes just off dry.

330ml bottle at the late December DC RB Tasting. Poured a clear dark amber color with a small off-white, light tan head. Chocolate roast, with some light malts. Actually kind of good.

From a 33 cl bottle shared at the RB Dec 23, 2018, gathering. Pours a clear cola with a tan head. Aromas are smoke and chocolate. Flavors are bitter roast. Tasty.

Tap at Mikkeller. Deep brown to black with a 2-finger soapy beige head. Cacao, coffee, prune, raisin and roasted malt aromas. Medium to light body, slightly creamy on the palate with soft to medium-light carbonation. Some light smoke as well as it warms. Body feels light and feathery and hides the 7% abv very well. Molasses and cacao in the nose. Thin mouth cacao. Kinda weird finished with touch of vegetale. Not really my thing.

Bottle from the brewery. Nose is chocolate, umami soy. Deep black with a low lacy head. Full, rich flavor, lots of chocolate, soy sauce, a bit of cream. Raosty coffee and full bitterness. A bit light, but very drinkable and good.
