Fiery amber color. Very malty smooth with apricots and bready notes. Not much of an old ale. A bit muddled. It’s ok

On tap at CBM Koenji. Hazy deep orange to amber color with a nice soapy head that lasts throughout. Nice fruit forward aromas with malt aromas balancing well on the nose: apricot, pineapple, caramel and pepper all present. Bitter on the palate with a hint of sweetness from the malts. Medium to full body with great balance. Citrus flavors come out as it warms up a bit. Great bitter finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Mighty Rook on 07 May 2015 at 19:27 - Score: 7

On tap at Y Market’s first anniversary event. Mighty Rook 6.9% old ale It pours a mellow honey brown with a luscious fruity floral aroma. The taste is bitter, grapefruit, biscuity malts with a dose of orange citrus. Good stuff very well balanced.
