Tap at Y Market. Yum. Smooth, initial strong resin hoppiness, real punch of bitterness at the finish too. Some chocolate maltiness, grapefruit. Pine. Nice.

Tap at Watering Hole. Pours a deep brown to black with a small cappuccino colored head that lingers. Big, bold roasted cacao nose with citrus and grassy hop undertones. More chocolate and roasted coffee on the palate with tropical fruit in the background. Quite nice. --- Beer merged from original tick of Crescent Light on 16 Sep 2016 at 20:42 - Score: 7. Original review text: Deep, roasted cacao nose with some nice citrus and grassy hop aromas. Roasted coffee and light tropical hops on the palate. Nice.

On tap at Y Market’s 1st Anniversary event. They ran out but Makoto swapped out a keg especially for me to get a taste- what a great guy!It is a dark black with a beige head. The medium body gives off a mild hoppy nose. It is a decent black IPA too bad someone bumped into me & spilled it all over my shirt!

Tap at Marciero. Lovely nose or citrus, chocolate, a bit of licorice and coffee. Shiny black with a fine head. Hoppy citrus flavor, wood, coffee, chocolate. Very roasty, and bitter from roast and hops. Full palate. Nicely done.
