Tap at the Koumin Ramen Event as Taisetsu Kuratake Doppelbock 8% A reddish plum caramel color with a wispy beige head and stone fruit. Bready and dry with a touch of heat, plums and caramel but a balancing bitterness too. Much nicer than the last beer I tried from these guys.

Tap at Baku. This was labeled a bock there. Nutty nose, chocolate and caramel. Dark brown with lace. Sweet flavor of burnt caramel, brown sugar, chocolate. A bit thin in body. Ok.
