Some prune and decent florals. A light hint of smoke like old bar stools. More like a dubbel really. Pours hazy dark. Light sweet finish. Not bad and exceeds my expectations for Big Rock. Bottle from Keg n Cork.

Bottle: Cloudy, dark brown with an off-white head. Caramel, dark fruit, earthy aroma. Taste is rich caramel malt, plum.... actually has a little heat and sting to it, though very smooth.... Not a trace of alcohol bitter. Pretty nice.

Bottle. Peat, whiskey, chocolate toffee malt, and hay aroma. Dark chestnut brown with moderate head. Moderately sweet nutty toffee malt and moderately bitter hay flavor. Okay body - a bit light. Moderately strong whiskey finish. Pretty nice.

Bottle at Big Rock Urban Brewery, Vancouver
Mahogany color with almost no head. Caramelly brew, lean, with light residual sweetness, some flavor depth, relatively low bitterness, and a bit nutty in the final.
Not bad.

650mL bottle, pours a dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Nose brings out spices, Belgian yeast and dark fruits -- quite spicy, yeasty and dry. Flavour is along the same lines, with spices, Belgian yeast, light toffee and bready notes. Well-balanced and surprisingly complex for Big Rock beers. Good stuff.

Dark brown with orange tints and lace. Cloudy. Nose s chocolate, esters, peaches, spices. A new world yeast character. FLavors of vanilla, cream, spices, chocolate, licorice. Very yeast and estery with lots of cocoa. Calles itself a dubbel on the label. This is the kind of dubbel I don’t really like.
