The hardest part about making new and exciting hoppy beers is sourcing the hops you need. Most hops are bought under contracts which are signed two or three years in advance. We occasionally get opportunities to acquire small quantities of specialty hops that are enough for one batch of beer, but no more. This beer allows us to feature hops that we would otherwise not be able to make use of.

Pours gold into a shaker. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving spider lacing to glop surface. Orange, mango, pineapple and passionfruit aromas. Soft with sweet tropical fruit and bread front to back. Abrupt citrus finish.

Tap at Cask Republic. Very nice nose: resembles Nelson, Aussie hop, grass, lemon. Light pilsner malts. Deep gold with a low head. Malty, very hoppy flavor. Light biscuits, citrus,, just a touch of catpiss. Nice. Could be just a touch dryer, but very good.
