Alright but a bit lacking in excitement. Bit creamy for a wit I would have thought.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L's place. Thanks Stas. Cloudy yellow. Some citrus, a bit of yuzu, spiciness, sweetish, light tart hint. Kinda OK.

At a tasting, thanks, small head, quite hazy and a bit intense yellow color, aroma of yeast and rubber with a hint of citrus behind, quite sweet and heavy, a bit sticky, citrus and wheat flavor, light sourness. Not too good.

Baeren Iwate Yuzu Wit 4.5% Bottle from Yamaoka. A lovely opaque hold with a filmy white head of foam and a refreshing yuzu and wheat aroma. Medium bodied with a prickly effervescence. The taste is crackery wheat flakes and yuzu sweetness and a dry finish. Not the most complex beer out there but it delivers exactly what the name says. Nice.

Bottle from Tanakaya under the name "Iwate Yuzu Wit" featuring only yuzu from Iwate. Slight Belgian yeast, fruit-forward nose with some light gooseberry, lemon zest and wheat. No yuzu on the nose. A little yuzu comes out on the palate as it warms. Slighty creamy mouthfeel with a medium body. Nice pithy bitterness on the finish with more Belgian peppery yeast. Nice, but would like more yuzu. --- Beer merged from original tick of Iwate Yuzu Wit on 21 Feb 2016 at 14:05 - Score: 6. Original review text: Pretty decent wit, but only faint Yuzu notes....somewhat disappointing.

Tap at 1020. Pretty, deep pastel golden color. Nice bready wheat and yuzu nose. Flavors of yuzu and bread. No coriander. Nice bitterness. Full enough body but very crisp, a witbier moving towards a fruity wheat ale. Good stuff.
