Glimmerglass - The name given to our lake by James Fenimore Cooper - is a beautiful body. Nested between gentle mountains, it reflects any object held up to it, just as it reflects our joy at the arrival of each spring. To help celebrate, pour new spring saison offers a perfect balance of maltiness and hops, with a touch of yeasty fruitiness and a whiff of pepper.

Pizzeria Paradiso, Alexandria tap ($5): Pours copper with a white head. Aroma is tree-borne fruit, slight amount of yeasty funk, some citrus. Taste is a moderately sweet. Some yeasty funk in the taste, but not very much. There is very little bitterness. This is a fairly standard sweet saison. I would have preferred it to be more dry.

From a bottle has a big foaming pour. 1/4 of the bottle overflows my glass. Beauty of a rocky head. Somewhat off sterile aroma. Slightly hop bitter yeasty kind of palate. Somewhat metallic in the taste. Yes, every little pour makes a big rocky head, over and over. Foamy mustache. Feel does have some sizzle but it fades rapidly. De-lish cutting sensations if swigged right from the bottle. Has a decent kick to it. Decent overall beer experience.

On tap at Ale Arsenal. Peppercorn, wheat and slight lemon aroma. Clear gold with small ivory head. Peppercorn spice prevails on flavor with a dry finish.

12 ounce bottle into signature tulip glass, bottled on 1/9/2014. Pours lightly hazy bright gold color with a 3 finger fairly dense and rocky white head with incredible retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big lemon, pear, apple, orange peel, white grape, light banana, peppercorn, herbal, grass, straw, light clove, wheat, bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good complexity and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spice, and moderate malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, white grape, orange peel, light banana, clove, peppercorn, herbal, grass, straw, wheat, bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Good amount of pepper/yeast ester spice on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pear, apple, white grape, orange peel, light banana, clove, peppercorn, herbal, grass, wheat, bread, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nice complexity of fruity/earthy yeast ester, spice, and light-moderate malt notes; with a very crisp balance of flavors and zero cloying notes after the finish. High carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly prickly/chalky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good saison. All around good complexity of yeast ester, spice, and light-moderate malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Purchased at Binnys in Chicago, IL because the 4 pack came with a free Game of Thrones glass; enjoyed sat home after a tough workout drinking out of said glass. Appearance is a very cloudy bright gold with a huge frothy white head. Aroma is pretty delicate, notes of light pepper, champagne, light yeast, very \"pretty\". Taste goes down with a nice light sour, high carbonation, the finish is actually crisp though which is rare for the style. It's pretty good, not my favorite style, but it came with a glass.

Bottle from Bine & Vine. Pours hazy gold with a large fizzy white head. That keeps growing. Light earthy citrus aroma. Med body or nearly. Flavor is yeast/earth with some light stone fruits besides a little citrus. It’s very dry. Finishes towards sweatsox. Pretty tasty.

On tap @ Black Bottle. Hazy dark orange appearance with a white head. Grapefruit and pine in the nose with some slight chemical notes. Moderate to high bitterness. A bit goopy. Some citrus. Slight cardboard. Dull herbal hops. Scroll past.

Draft at Whole Foods Charlottesville. Pours a hazy orange color with a large frothy head. Good head retention. Aroma of stone fruits, citrus, pale malts, mild bready and pepper notes. The taste is tropical fruit, spice, pepper, apple, citrus, sweet bready malt. Light body, soft carbonation, just a tad bit too sweet.
