Dark brown color. Sweet baker’s chocolate, tobacco leaf nose. Very carbonated but works with th light body, lots of chocolate malt. A bit simple, but enjoyable enough

On tap at Y.Market pub. Pours out a dark brown with a little amber highlights topped with a small tan head. Nose is roast malts chocolate coffee robust porter nuttiness. Taste is more of the nice roast malt a touch of smoke and a good bitter sweet finish.

On tap at Dig Bar’s Y Market Event. It pours a dark brown almost black with a thin filmy head. Served in a tulip it has a fruity floral aroma. The palate is med-full with a spritzy zesty mouthfeel. The taste is a good mix of citrusy hops & dark chocolatey malts with a dash of creaminess to it. Good stuff.

Draught at the Brewpub. Called a “free style dark ale.” Closest in style to a medium-hopped, light-bodied porter. Roasty nose of coffee, cream, and citrus. Cloudy black color wit a low, fine head. Smooth and roasty flavor, wood, coffee, light citrus. Light, dry, tasty, but not as exciting as the hoppy beers.
