Bottle. Ooh, I like the taste of hard water. Let's see. Aroma is good, lemony hops, bit of malt, something fruity too. Taste is interesting. Bit of spice, brown bread maltiness, light hoppy bitterness. Something lacking for me though. Nice enough, but the aroma was a lot nicer.

Bottle from Hasegawa. Nose of caramel, peaches, oranges, minerals, light chocolate. Amber-orange with a low, lacy head. Sweet caramel and stewed peaches with decent hop bite. Grassy, minerally, a bit metallic. the hard water really comes through. Finishes dry and just a bit earthy. Not bad, but their regular amber is much better. A bit bland, this one.

5% beer made with hard water from Kita-Kamakura. This was a gusher when opened, served in a pint glass. The color is pretty spot on amber brown with a beige head & a malty, caramel & toffee aroma-tasty. effervescent zesty carbonation, full body, bready, sweet, light caramel & toffee. Not cloying, a solid amber with a dry finish that has a slight citrus quality to it.
