Mooch tasting at Mattโ€™s
Hazy golden color. Aroma of vegetables, sweet blond malt flavor, but no depth, it has a strong sugary flavor, even sugar floss, candies, high octane feeling.
Had some beer like this in the past, from van Steenberge and company, never liked them either.

Bottle - Orange blossom and slick Perfumy notes. Clear orange with a small white head. Sweet orange syrup and candy like. Big and sweet.

330mL bottle, pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is very hot, with floral hops, orange peel and a hint of coriander. Flavour is pretty hot, with lots of floral hops, perfume, medium orange, and alcohol. Warming, but not too hot. Not overly cohesive by any means, but it's certainly a fun beer.

Slight haze, amber. The aroma has a touch of orange but with the phenolic plasticy stuff that comes from a strong ale. Very sweet, very much with alcohol and phenols. These characteristics dominate - this was fermented too warm, and too long, so it comes out dry but without nuance. Banging in some orange peel and coriander at the end gives it orange peel and coriander character, but that is not a substitute for genuine character and complexity. And yet, it ends up not that awful; itโ€™s a small bottle and I probably could finish it.

Quite full bodied, but very heavily hopped to balance the overall malt, Iโ€™d prefer less bitterness for a Christmas style beer. But it is a really good beer, the alcohol gives it a nice warmth. 2016 Advent Calendar.

10/XII/16 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent), shared with Erwin @ home - BB: n/a (2016-1460)

Slow gusher alert!
Little cloudy deep amber beer, small creamy yellowish head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: soft acidity, bit oxidized, dried fruits, banana, ripe fruits. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very sweet start, sugary, some alcohol, pretty oxidized. Aftertaste: little bitter, honey, sugary, slightly sourish, bit spicy, alcohol, orange peel. This one has aged beautifully!

330ml bottle from 2016 craft beer advent calendar. (11.8% ABV) Pours a hazy orange with a small, short lived, off-white head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, dried fruit, sugar, spice and alcohol. Sweet flavour of sugar, dried fruit, caramel malt and spice with a mildly bitter, warming booze finish. Full body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Not really picking up any orange peel or coriander but still pretty decent.

F: almost no real head. C: hazy orange/amber/brown, opaque. A: malt, sweetness of white sugar, toffee, alcohol. T: very oily, sweet, some spicy, malt, alcohol, pine, dried sweet fruits, figs, date, full body, low carbonation, ideal for long dark December evenings, but too sweet for me, worth to try.

Bottle shared thanks to Kermis. Hazy orange golden with off white head. Honey, bourbon, dried stone fruits, cognac, peach, massive bitter alcohol in the finish. Quite sweet with strong bitter finish. Full bodied. Way too much alcohol here, would be quite good with a lot less alcohol.
