Tap at the Watering Hole. Clear golden, big frothy white head. Aroma is bit plain, bit fruity, bit creamy but not so exciting. Slight mustiness. Nothing wrong with it though. Taste is ok, malt, light fruit, quite refreshing, bit of toffee. Solid but bit unexciting.

Keyaki fall 2016. Light malt and bready aromas. Some apricot as it warms. Crisp and clean. Light bitterness on the finish. Nothing much to see here, but it’s not a bad beer. --- Beer merged from original tick of Sakura Steam (佐倉スチーム) on 18 Sep 2016 at 15:56 - Score: 6

Bottle from Asahiya. Pouring a caramel amber with a foamy light beige head. The nose is mildly fruity, while the taste is the same with a decent amount of sweet malts. I found it to be a good though unmemorable example of a Steam Beer. I will note though this bottle was near it’s expiry date so not the freshest.

Tap at iBrew. Pretty, deep gold, almost amber, fine head. Malty nose, some caramel, bread. Quite like a marzen. Sweet and malty start, caramel, then gets clean and ry with a quite bitter finish. Well done beer, hoppy finish kicks it in.
