On tap at the brewery, airport location. Pours clear brown with a small beige head, light lacing. Caramel malts, nutty, honey, bitter finish. Didn't care for this one.

35cl can from a supermarket in Yokohama. Pours hazy amber to caramel coloured with a dense and lasting off-white head. Rather malty and caramelly aroma with some lightly hoppy notes and hints of spices. Medium sweet with mild flavours, guess it works as a winter beer, but on the boring side. Easy to drink and in the end quite okay.

Can from Lawson. Drank straight from the can. Light malt on the nose with some caramel. Average carbonation with a slightly watery mouthfeel. Sweet, but not overly so on the palate. Caramel, light cherry and toffee flavors as it warms. Finish is pretty simple. Not near as bad as some of their other beers.

Can from Seijo Ishii, Karasuma. Rich caramel malt nose, chocolate, earthy hops with some grass and a touch of citrus. Malty, yet earthy and dry. Medium amber color with a low, fine head. Rich malty flavor, good caramel with a bit of chocolate, but nicely balance by hops as well. A bit of orange and cherry complement the nutty and earthy character. Nice drinking beer, and much better than their old Christmas red. Good rich body as well.

350 ml can from Seijo Ishii @ Nagoya station. Pours with a huge head but it goes away quite fast. Looks like a slightly hazy freshly pressed apple juice, dark copper. Aroma is mango and pineapple, surprisingly fruity and flowery. Some notes of malty bread pressing through. Taste is quite round, maruyaka. First it feels just as the aroma - mouthful of sweet tropical fruits, very soft mouthfeel with pleasant flowery hops. However, this first sensation fades soon and taste turns sour and a bit buttery. Aftertaste is bitter but maybe not so dry. Wet bitter? Overall a pleasant experience, perhaps even one of my favourites from Helios.

5% about 300 yen from my local Lawson, their winter seasonal which has been sitting there for awhile. It pours a nice amber with a light beige head. A fruity aroma, possibly with hints of peach? The flavor is sweet with a mild malt taste, easy to drink but kind of average. Pretty good for a convenience store beer.
