Tap at Thrash Zone. Jammy, light bitterness, prickly, strawberry, fruit, touch of spice. Interesting.

Tap at Thrashzone. Pours a clearish ruby red with no head. Big fruit cake, notes with dried fruit and fresh fig aromas. Very malty on the palate, but pretty clean. Doesn’t feel super heavy, but it definitely is a malt driven beer. Finish is bitter, but reigned in for Thrashzone. Beautiful red color. Dried fruit and citrusy notes. Medium body. Very hoppy, medium full body with dried fruit. Nice hoppy red ale.

Tap at Thrashzone. Pours red, pint glass filled to the edge, so no room for foam. Looks totally perfect though. Aroma of soft hops, you can also understand that there is decent malty body. Taste has loads of rowan berries, somewhat rustic and robust, body is strong and I feel I can cut it with knife. Not a very fast drinker, thick.

Small glass on draft at Thrash Zone. Clear dark amber with thin off-white head. Aromas of light stone fruit and biscuit. Tastes of dark fruit, stone fruit, floral notes, fruit candy, biscuit. Medium body with a dry finish. Interesting.

Draft - Toffee malt sweetness and a bit of berry. Clearish deep maroon with a rich white head. Red IPA? Malts are in the nose, but flavour is floral, with a grain/bread sweet malts flavor with sweet bitterness. Disjointed and confused.

7% 500 yen at KyotoLefty’s Book launch event at Tadg’s. Deep amber red color with a beige head. The aroma is a nice floral/herbal fruitiness. Medium bodied, bitter, astringent with lots of sour grapefruit. A well made IPA very popular at the event but not my cup of tea.

Draught at Thrash. Lovely deep red color, low, super fine head. Nice malty nose, chocolate, caramel, grass, citrus hops. Great balance, lively malt, perfect hopping. A great hoppy amber, I would say. A bit sweet with some cherry candy, but pretty damn good overall.
