Bottle from the brewery. It's the one with the yellow label. Golden amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is a bit like an english pale ale. Nice citrus hoppiness, bit of sweetness, touch of caramel. Taste is good, slight citrus, biscuity malt, slight sweetness, nice spritiziness. Exactly what I wanted at the time. Could drink a lot of this on a hot day.

Tap @ Pigalle. Pours nice yellow, bit cloudy and with a decent frothy white head. Nose has some malt sweetness, lots of fruits, yellow plums and also some Belgian yeast spices. Taste has measured herbal bitterness, medium bodied, very tasty and satisfying. Hoppy and light Belgian pale ale, lots of character but still very much drinkable, excellent.

Frothy white head. The nose is very focused on malt character. Slightly biscuity and sweet. Medium full body. Well made but the problem is that it is neither here nor there. What new world think an English pale ale should taste like.

On tap at Beach Muffin. Yorocco Pale Ale 5.2% Cloudy orange gold with a juicy citrus hop aroma. Very dry finish on a light body. The taste is pithy citrus with orange in the aftertaste. Nice.

Tap at Beach Muffin. Fairly similar but with punchier orange. Dry and citrusy finish. Very solid pale ale and again not many breweries in Japan focusing on attenuation I feel. Even better on tap. Bottle shared at a tasting. Thanks birusaiko! Slightly hazy orange with a nice off-white head. Citrus, lemon zest, orange marmalade and a peppery saison-like yeast quality on the nose. Good carbonation with with a medium body. Super refreshing. Some light caramel notes come out as it warms. Good dry finish with some pepper and light bitterness. --- Beer merged from original tick of Pale Ale on 17 Oct 2015 at 19:27 - Score: 7

Tap at Michikusa, Jan 2016. Spicy, citrus nose, lightly tropical. Crisp and clean flavor, great hops and excellent balance. Spicy, peppery finish. This has become excellent. Bottle from the brewery: March 2013 6/3/6/3/13. Medium brown. Deep caramel malt nose, light earthy hops. Soft and yeasty, caramel and fruit flavors. Decent stuff. A bit yeasty and full.
