Tap at Gar Eden. Bit of vege soup in smell, cacao, light choc. Taste is unique, chocolate, bit of grain, light bitterness. Later, milk chocolate, cocoa. Confusing! Seems to change sip by sip. Pleased I had it.

This is an odd beer, I have to give them credit for pushing boundaries which is a bit rare in the Japanese brewing scene so far but it wasn’t for me. The flavor profile is like a dark beer but the appearance is that of a white. It isn’t spicy like a white beer but it is light and refreshing. It seems to be more of a white chocolate rather than a milk chocolate. Maybe the mismatch was too much for me but I didn’t care for it.

Draught at Tadg’s. Cloudy gold with lace. Nose of stone fruits, esters, cocoa, a bit funky. Flavors of peach, orange, earth, cocoa. Very dry, with light, fruity grain sweetness. Surprising, and surprisingly drinkable. Light tingly hops. Better than I imagined it could be from the name!
