Tap at the Watering Hole. Rusty red colour, small golden head. Aroma is bizarrely raw potatoes. Touch of fruitiness and a murmur of funk. Taste is creamy with bit of sourness. Quite different. Bread in background too. Some cherry in there too and a bit of wood. Very soft on mouth. Bit of bubblegum towards end. Quite a surprising one. Pretty nice.

On tap at the Belgian Beer Weekend in Osaka, imported by Kinki Importers... 3 coins 7.9% a reddish brown with a tan head, lots of foam. Fruity Belgian yeast aroma. Bitter bite, malts, fruitiness and a bitter finish. Not that sour or IPA like. An interesting take though. I think some of the sourness is in a bit of bite from the lactic acid in the aftertaste.

Draught at 1020. This is what it is called in Japan, at least. Slightly acidic nose, with peaches, orange, spice. Dark red with a big pillowy head. Flavor is of big stewed fruit compote with spices. Rather strong astringency. Interesting and fun, though strange, and neither a typical Belgian sour beer nor anything resembling an IPA.
