Tap at Solera, Parkdale, 24/05/13. Clear golden amber with reddish hues, thin off white head. Nose is pine, bitter orange, hops. Taste comprises hops, orange pith, light grapefruit, grass. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, hop bitterness in the finish. A tasty number.

Sample at the Laurelwood Public House at PDX. The beer is a clear copper color with a medium white head that dissipates quickly. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, caramel and hops. Medium body with flavors of caramel malt, toffee and hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Slightly hazy deep red body that throws up a tall off-white head. Aroma contains sweet malts with a touch of light hops. The flavor is mostly balanced that drifts towards some dry bitterness as it reaches the finish. I’ve had better amber ales, but there are no flaws here; just a bit average.

On tap at the PDX location. 6,1%. Pours a dark copper color with a medium white head. A nice nose of caramel and floral hops. The flavor is a big biscuit and caramel malt, some light bitterness and floral hops, smooth and clean. Quite good.

Draught at the Brewpub. Pretty copper color with lace. Nice citrus and caramel nose. Nicely malty flavor, good caramel and a bit of roast. Bitter hops, peppery finish. Quite bitter. Light citrus and grass. Good balance.

A copper amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, light caramel malt. Inmouth, a nutty malt withburned caramel notes, oily mouthfeel, very roasty, not bad. On tap at PDX Concourse E location, July 31 2011.

Bottle thanks to blutt59. Pours with a small off-white head over a hazed amber body. Aroma of honey, dates, dark fruits, caramel, hops and ash. Taste is caramel, honey, dark fruits and grain. Watery mouthfeel.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear reddish amber color with a small off-white head. Has a malty hoppy caramel aroma. Sweetish malty hoppy caramel flavor. Has a slightly sweetish malty caramel finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.
