Draft at the source. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, ash, coffee, notes. Taste is roasted malt, licorice, coffee, alcohol, with a mild peppery finish.

Bottle thanks to Craig. It pours darkest brown with a small tan head. The nose is rich, roasty, coconut, vanilla, toasty, candy, wood and light smoke. The taste is bitter-sweet, roasty, treacle, caramel, light spice, coffee, pepper, alcohol and light smoke with a dry, spiced finish. Med+ body and fine carbonation. Rather tasty actually. Mighty decent.

Draught at the brewery. Bigger pepper and coffee character compared to the Brandy barrel aged version, though not as smooth and creamy. Still a nice beer, though for me the additives were a bit much.
