Produced with three different types of malt: barley, with the addition of malted oat and raw spelt; the five hops used are carefully measured in an elaborate and very balanced mixture. In addition, the “gruit” of spices added to Sandy gives the characteristic harmonious taste of caramel with elegant spicy notes.

Bottiglia.

Bottle pour thanks to Yespr. Cloudy dark brown beer with a small off white head. Palate is light and smooth and slightly soft. Sweetish creamy malt with well integrated sweetish generic fruits. Light and semi dry finish.

33 cl bottle, 6.5%. Brownish color, slightly hazed, with a bubbly tan head. Nose is spicy, aroma has some balsamic notes and a herbal spicyness, with a nice hops balance, yeast, maybe licorice. Taste is smooth and slightly sweet with a soft bitter balance. medium bodied, quite carbonated. Finish is spicy and a bit sticky. Can feel the alcool on the tongue as it warms up, it’s liquor-like. Feels somewhat raw, but it’s enjoyable.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Rich caramel nose, orange, honey, light spices. Rich a nice. Dark reddish brown with thin, fine lace. Fruity, rich caramel and chocolate, honey, a bit of alcohol, orange, spicy--clove and cinnamon. Tart citrus flavors from the faro try hard to balance the sweet malts, but fall a bit short. Interesting and nice.

Good yellowish head over hazy amber beer. Very spiced nose, orange peel, parsley, raspberry syrup - if fleetingly - and a lot of malts, not necessarily barley. Less orange, even less raspberry, but all still there. Lots of restsweetness; pleasing, but making it into a slow-drinking beer. A drinkbeer that isn’t one - I’d say a good one to taste with some friends on a summer terrace.
