Tap at CBM Jinbocho. Not really bitter, light sweetness and some citrus. Slightly floral. Bit of washing up liquid. Further down maltiness appears, caramel and biscuit. Alright but don't get the bitter bit.

Outsider Innkeeper Bitter 6% 700 yen for 410ml on tap at Len Kawaramachi. A deep gold with a thick creamy white head of foam. The aroma is fruity with grainy biscuity notes. Medium bodied with a slightly scratchy mouthfeel. The taste is sweet, malty fruit and grains. OK.

On tap at CBM Jimbocho. Clear golden yellow with a medium white foamy head. Big aromas of rice and nihonshu with floral notes present as well. Fairly dry on the palate with the sweetness from the rice coming through loud and strong. Dry finish with nice carbonation. An average pils with the rice notes coming through too strongly. --- Beer merged from original tick of Innkeeper Bitter Lager on 08 Feb 2016 at 21:18

Draft - Pale malt and grain. Clear gold with little head. A grainy lager with bitterness. No real hop aroma or flavour, just bitterness. As a pilsner goes, the bitterness works but no flavour is added.

Deep golden color. Moderately hoppy nose, but not as aggressive as I was expecting. The mouth is med- full with decent malt backbone. Moderate bitter finish. Overall ok, but not as aggressively hopped as I would have liked. Still refreshing and nice.
