Did henry ford really have a girthsome fjord? Or is it flippant conjecture forming a combination of words that we find amusing? Sure we can justify it: Henry Ford was Belgo-American, Fjords are produced by glaciers (... Glacier hops...), . Either way, you can have this heavily hopped dark roasty Belgian Ale any colour you want as long as it's brown.

33 cl bottle. Pours hazy brown with a huge tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and caramelish. Crisp hoppy and light fruity. Vague sourness. Dark roasted toffee caramelish malty. Lingering fruity finish.

Caramel, banana, phenols, and Belgian yeast. Sweet sugary nose with raisins and some diacetyl. Interesting for sure, and pleasant, though a bit out of whack.

Pours murky dark brown with a large, lasting head.Boths hops and roasted malt are strong on the nose; big coffee and cocoa notes alongside grapefruit, pine and peach.Same story with the flavours, big roasty characters as mentioned in the aroma, while the hops are mostly noticeable in a big, brash bitterness. Some alcohol is noticeable, but not hot.

Bottle, 11C. Dark reddish brown with an inch of beige head that lasts and laces well. Aroma of chocolate and a melange of hops aromatics, mainly citrus-leaning, but also some spices. Creamy mouthfeel. Taste is sweet with toffee and burnt mocha, cinnamon, cloves, vanilla, quite pungent juniper berries in a creepingly bitter finish. Weird and good - which I guess is what they’re going for. Would go well with game.
