Keyaki. Surprising. Strawberry jam, but also pastry, good stuff. Bit sweet. Like a tart or pastry. Very different to how I expected. Little bit of hoppiness at the end.

Tap at 23 Craft Beers, Nagoya. 5.5%. Dark ruby pinky color, small off-white head. Caramel and malts in the nose. Medium-bodied. Caramel, ryeish maltyness and light hops in the flavor. Quite standard red/amber ale without big faults but a bit lame.

On tap at Beer Keyaki Spring 2014. A super muddy brown pour, kind of unattractive. Surprisingly chocolate+cacao aroma. Decent nose but not to style. Medium to full bodied, smooth with a nice bitter finish. The taste is crystal & dark malts with a strong dose of cacao & some fruity hop bitterness. Bizarre but tasty not really a red ale...

Draught at Craft Beer Market. Nice, bright red-amber with a fine head. Fruity, chrry nose with a bit of diacetyl. Sweet, creamy flavor, caramel, cherry, butterscotch. Ok but too much diacetyl and too sweet. Dessert-like. Decent, but a bit too much for me.
