Bottle at Gollem. Collab of Senne with an Italian craft brewery I never heard of, apparently a Bretted saison. Egg-white, thick, frothy head, tightly lacing, over a lightly hazy, deep ’old gold’ coloured beer with olive green hue, misty with sediment. Aroma of fresh wormwood leaves, hay, buttercups and other field flowers, light banana, lemon-scented hand soap (weirdly), dough, orange zest, apricot, minerals, ’Bretty urine’, wet leather, damp straw. Crisp, fruity onset, touch of banana among peach and gooseberry notes, smooth and bit soapy mouthfeel, medium carbo, bready malt middle, lots of ’dimly’ spicy and softly sourish graininess from the spelt, floral finish with even an unexpected touch of lavender or violets, earthy and adequately bittering, bit peppery, with retronasal floral and Bretty notes (hay, old urine but vaguely so). A rural saison-like but cleverly constructed ’wild’ beer unmistakably carrying the Senne quality stamp, with an unusual, lavender- and even lemon-like aromatic touch to it. Nice.

Bottle. Pours golden with a white head. Really really funky aroma with notes of barnyard, flowers and pure citrus. Slightly spicy. Tastes like a light Orval. Funky, hoppy and with a nice sweet maltbase. Notes of citrus, flowers, strawberries and white pepper. Small bitterness in the end. A bit dry. Has a very "natural" feel to it. Very light mouthfeel. Ridicilously drinkable and refreshing!

Bottle @ Det Belgiske Hus. Pours hazy deep golden with a large frothy head. Yeast and subtle grapefruit. Grassy and lemony dry flavor with a touch of brett and funk. Elegant to say the least and insanely tasty!

Amber, hazy body, with a big, frothy, lacing, off-white head.
Aroma of lemongrass, dough, flowers, sweet berries, spices, grass, some pine.
Tastes quite similar, but lighter, with more pine notes.
Light, slick mouthfeel, with a fizzy carbonation.
Finishes quite light, but still crisp, floral, grassy, a bit fruity, a bit piney, a bit yeasty.
Very nice. Quite light, but crisp for the low ABV, with a really lovely, diverse nose. Overall not among my favourite De la Sennes, but refreshing stuff, with the signature character I love this brewery for. Initial score: 8 / 4 / 7 / 3 / 15
Rerate: Same batch almost one year later, with almost 2 years age on. Still very refreshing and crisp, with less hops, but with more farmhouse character, earthy, almost a bit barnyardy, with slight young cheese. Pleasant surprise, that such a low ABV beer without wild yeast ages that well!

Bottle, 330 ml at L’Égalité, Bruxelles. Pours cloudy golden, medium white head. Malty, sweetish, perfumish nose, yeasty, some citrus notes, medium bodied.

Flaska från Etre Gourmete. Gyllengul, mycket disig och med ett rejält vitt skum. Massor av brett i både doft och smak och på många sätt som en Orval lillebror med lite extra brett. Mjuk och rund trots att den är lätt och frisk och försiktig beska vilket jag tycker gillar eftersom det annars kan skära sig mot bretten. Riktigt trevlig.
