good amber color, good finger of beige head, and some good lacing. Aroma is quite malty, lots of caramel malt, and some hops, but very little. Mouthfeel is smooth, with a good carbonation. Flavour is Full bodied, good malt backbone, some caramel, the hops come through in the flavour, and add some nice depth. Finished with a hoppy, grainy, almost corny bitterness. Not a bad beer.

473ml. can. @home, 27/02/2024 [#7.015 Global - #76 Canada - #1 Boreale - Brasseurs du Nord (My Canadian Brewery #38)] Pours copper with a small and diminishing off-white head. Aroma: toasted malts, caramel, light earthy hops and brown sugar. Taste: caramelly malts, toffee, bread and cherry. Lively mouthfeel. A bit harsh. Next one please!

Poured from the tap. Coming to the end of what I haven’t rated on tap… clear amber with small white head. Very mild caramel malt, fairly watery, uninspired.

Draught @ Aux Anciennes Canadiens, Québec. Pours nearly clear dark amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel, with notes of fruit and yeast. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt, with estery snd fruity touches and some bitter notes of hops. Estery aftertaste with fruity and malty hints. High carbonation. Nothing really special but definitely drinkable.

Pours clear brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of matl, caramel, grain and grass. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long malty, caramel and grainy finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap. A clear, dark amber beer with a small, dense offwhite head. The aroma has some caramel and bread, a touch of prunes and some grass. There’s not much bitterness going on, but not much sweetness either. Bread, caramel and some grassy hints. Medium to thin on the palate, soft. Quite short finish. Decent, far from exciting. 150611

This amber ale poured a deep amber colour with a light tan coloured head. Minimal lacing. Scents include sweet malt, cereal and caramel. First swig had medium/low carbonation with a slightly watery mouthfeel. Flavours of semi-roasted malts and light hop flavours with a little toast on the side. Finish is lightly bitter with a little hop flavour lingering.

A malty slightly spicy red ale, the color’s a nice amber pour with an ok head. Had this on tap all over Montreal in college. A good switch from the Blonde. Solid butnot terribly exciting.
