Flaske fra polets nettbutikk, hjemme på nyttårsaften: dyp, rødlig mahognyfarge med flott skum som varer. Nydelig aroma og enda bedre smak av kandis/knekk, rosiner, mandler, mørke bær, honning, dessertsjokolade og faktisk litt citrus. Vel avstemt bitterhet i avslutningen gjør at denne går farlig raskt over drøvelen. En perfekt dessert etter lutefisken, og så fint at Kitty helller ville ha et glass vin.

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet fruity, candied sugar, almonds, yeast, dried dark fruits, grass, dark malts, "knekk", citrus peel. Taste is slightly sweet mineraly, sugar, grass, minerals, alcohol, yeast, almonds, burnt caramel, dried dark fruits, weeds. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh boozy and mineraly mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Pours dark reddish brown with a beige to tan head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, alcohol, honey, raisin, plums and figs. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long warm, caramel, dried fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. A reddish dark amber colored beer, hazy, and with a small, dense, beige head. The aroma is rather malty, with dried fruits, alcohol, some chocolate and raisins, Milk chocolate. Chocolatey, sweet flavor with milk sugar, some brown sugar and a good dash of dried fruits. It’s full-bodied, lightly warming and with a very smooth carbonation. Nice bitterness too, especially towards the finish. Nice, althouugh not a world class quad. 151212
