This American-style Black IPA is nearly jet black and perceived to have high hop bitterness, flavor and aroma with medium-high alcohol content, balanced with a medium body. The appearance may trick you into thinking you are about to enjoy a traditional stout beer when in fact your senses are about to be overwhelmed with our Black IPA. Juicy, fruity, floral, and pine from Pacific Northwest hops gives the beer a classic West Coast IPA hop character. The Black IPA is further characterized by a balanced and moderate degree of caramel malt and subdued dark roasted malt flavor and aroma. 7.2% ABV, 85

Negra casi opaca. Minimamente rojiza al trasluz. Abundante espuma manchada. Aroma eminentemente lupulado, herbal, pino y también notas ahumadas. En boca, textura suave y gas contenido. Compleja. Cuerpo.

My 2,000th Rate. Bottle, Beer Moth, Manchester. Deep dark brown pour with a small tan head. Citrus hop and dark malts protruded from the beak. Flavour-wise there were notes of pine, chocolate, malts, orange and booze. Decent balance struck. Full bodied and smooth mouthfeel. Plenty to like here and a very solid Black IPA. I’m rarely disappointed in the output from this brewery and this is no exception. Cheers!

Bottle - Piney hops and some light roast. Jet black with a nice rich beige head. Grapefruit, pine and burnt toast. With the big flavors this is surprisingly well balanced and subdued. Very nicely done.

Bottle @ Champ League Kval. Aab - Apoel. Pours black with a creamy head and lacings. Roast, pine and coffee roast. Smooth and dry. Actually past its BB date although its a newly imported beer to Denmark. Thankfully its holding up pretty well. Bitter finish.

Draft: Strong grapefruit and tangerine aroma. If I closed my eyes I wouldn’t gues this is an IDA, save for a subtle soil note. Clear ruby black, thin tan head. Charcoal, grapefruit, and onion flavor. Brief appearanc of rosehips in the end that isn’t evident within the sronger malt notes. Good mix of hop and roast biterness. Light body, harshly fizzy. Pretty intense, not quaffable.
