Rich golden India Pale Ale. A smooth bitterness gives way to a lemon, orangey marmalade and herbal aroma leaving a lingering sweet taste on the palate.

Golden coloured with small white frothy head. Quite translucent. Aroma is mainly pine hops, maybe lemon, with a bit of bread maltiness. Taste is classic Sorachi Ace. All that weird slightly sour dairy that it always reminds me of. Nice bitter finish. Further down the pint, started getting bubblegum and a bit more of a sour cream finish. Slightly oily in the mouth. I love Sorachi Ace!

Cask, Philarmonic, Liverpool. Amber looks with a decent creamy off white head. Fragrant aroma of citrus, wood and hop. Intriguing flavour that had further fruit mixed with herby hop, spices and a little sourness. Dry bitter finish. Decent beer that grabs your attention and your taste buds, but something a bit strange lurking herein that I couldn’t decide if I truly liked.

Cask @ Half Moon Inn, Durham 081011.
Golden, bit hazy, white head, good lacing
Very grapefruity, citrusy hop taste and aroma....good bitter citrus finish. (Reviewed in a rush)
Good beer, better than the BrewDog Sorachi Ace I tried over a year ago.

Cask in Reading on 6th October 2011. Very strong and powerful hop taste, bitter and complex. I liked this IPA, excellent single Hop example.

On tap at the Magpie. Clear amber beer. Nice creamy pale cream coloured head. Smooth palate but somewhat dry, Nice creamy malt backbone. Mild lemon cream Sorachi, the lemon is slightly sour as well. Bitterness ramps up to quite a bitter finale and with a trace of bubblegum coming through. Good!. Although a slightly more muscular version would be nicerer!

Cask @ Drum and Monkey. Clear golden colour, off-white head. Nose is citric, hoppy, a bit of caramel, bit of vanilla or something bourbon aged. Quite odd. Flavour is light malty, well hopped, bit of vanilla, dish cloth. Very interesting.
